Well, is that really a photo of a Forerunner25? There is no identification of the watch in the photo. Also, the markings on the battery are faded. Does anyone have more info on this?

That’s not the forerunner25. The correct battery for forerunner25 is PD2032C1

La bateria del Forerunner 25 grande (rojo o azul) es PD2430C1, exactamente la misma que en el Edge 20/25

I just replaced the battery in my Forerunner 25. It was as easy as described in the above instructions. I bought the special screwdriver and pry tool from Ifixit, and bought the exact battery that was listed in the picture (While some other batteries are interchangeable, the original battery has a greater capacity). I bought the battery from another vendor and paid about $20 for it so if Ifixit sells the battery, I would buy it from them to save on shipping. The replacement took about 5 minutes, and after the initial charge, I have run over 16 miles without recharging, and it is still showing that I have about an 80% charge. Before replacement I couldn't complete 8 miles on a full charge without getting a low battery warning. When I called Garmin support about a year ago to find out if they would replace the battery, they said no, that I should buy a new watch. I am ecstatic that I didn't take their advice. My recommendation: Buy the two tools from Ifixit and the battery, either from them or someone else.
