Introduction
Do you have a chair that squeaks? Do you sit in it expecting to have a good and relaxing time but with your every move it does a loud and gruesome SQUEAK. Tired of your wooden chair squeaking? Well, continue right along and read my fast fix project. This is a guide to repair a wood dining chair that is awfully squeaky. One of the legs has become squeaky due to loose dowels and screws within it. I will be providing you with my method, tools, and photos throughout the repair so that you too can rid your chair of its terrible squeaks.

Using the hex wrench and/or screwdriver tighten any loose screws underneath the chair and check again for squeaking.

If the chair is still squeaking remove all screws from the leg(s) that is/are squeaking.

The dowel is now exposed.

Once you’ve placed all wood back in their correct positions grab your hex wrench/screwdriver, and cloth.

Wet the cloth and and remove any excess glue from the chair.

Secure the clamp(s) onto the chair and occasionally check for dripping glue.

Let the chair sit with clamp(s) on for a minimum of 24 hours.

You have now completed the necessary steps to rid the terrible squeaks from your wooden chairs.

If you have more wooden chairs that squeak you will have to repeat this procedure.
