Introduction
This process shows how to remove the bowl and cover assembly, which is necessary for accessing other parts of the device. These steps may be followed backwards to learn how to properly lock your assembly into place.
-
-
Position the handle of the bowl so that it is on your left.
-
Grab the handle and push clockwise. Lift up the bowl to remove it.
-
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

All of what you say is pretty obvious, of course. My problem is that the bowl lid won’t lock onto the bowl, apparently because there’s a white plastic hook in the area of the locking mechanism. Not obvious what the purpose of that hook is, as it’s not mentioned in the manual or video. I could be wrong, but maybe that plastic hook is not supposed to be there? I’ve asked Cuisinart, and am awaiting a reply. I told them I resent having to dig for info on an appliance I’ve been using for decades. Poor design, or poor documentation, or both. Got any suggestions?

Hello Ken, I have the same problem with my DLC-7, (017-B) lid not locking. Did you find a solution?

Never mind. I found out the feeder goes in the back, not the front. Then it works.

I bought a new bowl for my Cuisinart when the old bowl cracked. The new bowl came and fits the machine nicely, but the old lid won’t lock onto the new bowl. Is there a fix for this or do I now have to buy two new lids for my new bowl?
