This guide gets you into this classic coffee grinder.(You will get some extra jealous looks from your hipster friends because it's soooo vintage ;-D)

    • Now it's time to rotate the bean container anti-clockwise to remove it from the machine

How do I disassemble this grinder?

It is difficult to rotate anti-clockwise to dismantle. Please suggest some easy method to unscrew the top from the body. Thanks

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the tutorial.

Would you have, by any chance, the usermanual of the grinder?

I’m wondering to what grinding size the numbering is corresponding to.

Many thanks! :)

Best regards,

Greg

I have this same issue! Did you ever find out? Im guessing that the grind size of the KMM1 is the same as the KMM20? So left (where it says mocca)for finest grind, right for the largest grind?

Umm.. My bottom burr doesn’t seem to have screws and look like rivits. maybe previous owner stripped the screws :(

Mine has something like rivets as well. I used toothpicks and cotton swabs to clean as much as I could,, then had some luck running dried couscous through the grinder. Softer than rice and seemed to pick up the last bits of residue.

Gilt diese Anleitung zur Reinigung auch für die Braun Kaffeemühle 4045?

Karl-Heinz Kaufmann -

Könnte sein. Das Gerät heißt KMM 20 Typ 4045, vermutlich eine Weiterentwicklung der KMM 1.

My grinder is stuck on course how to I “clean it” recalibrate it?

Thanks

Hi Daniel,

do you know by chance what size the burrs are? I was wodnering if I could upgrade my Braun with new and modern Burrs that maybe create less fines
