Introduction

    • flip your speaker onto its back.

    • using your screwdriver, carefully remove the 4 screws holding the speaker together.

    • using a heat gun, heat the base until you can pry up into the speaker with the spludger.

    • be careful not to pry into the motherboard and speaker.

    • carefully using the spludger, carefully disconnect the charging port's wires that connect to the motherboard.

    • once you get into the speaker, unscrew the 6 screws that are holding the speaker in place.

    • be very careful as the speaker assembly is still attached to wires on the motherboard.

    • carefully grabbling the connector end, disconnect the wires that connect the speaker assembly to the motherboard.

    • when reassembling, apply the new waterproof seal before placing the speaker.

    • with the speaker assembly now removed, you should now be left with the motherboard and battery.

    • using the screwdriver, unscrew the 6 screws that are holding down the motherboard.

    • carefully pry up the motherboard using the spludger.

    • be very careful when prying as the motherboard is still connected to wires with the battery.

    • with the motherboard left to one side, carefully unplug the battery connector on the motherboard.

    • remove the battery.

    • using a pair of scissors, carefully cut a slit the sponge casing. you should now be able to remove the battery.

    • be VERY careful not to accidentally puncture the battery with the scissors.
