Introduction

The Bissell Zing 2156A has two attachments to vacuum - and one is just a hard tube. Most users will mostly use the other attachment - the "Foot brush".
But like all vacuums, this point of contact can quickly become dirty or damaged, and normally before any other part. There are almost no moving parts inside this, so it is easier to maintenance then other vacuums.

While this guide only shows a clean foot brush, by taking apart the assembly, you can more easily clean inside it.
Get stated by removing the foot brush attachment - we won't need any other part of the vacuum for this.

    • Remove the four 15.7mm screws with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

    • Separate the cover plate from the rest of the foot brush.

    • To clean the cover plate, remove large pieces by hand and gently rinse it through a faucet. Be sure it is dry before reassembly.
