Introduction

Replacing a 2011 Jeep Liberty hood is a moderately simple task, requiring only a single tool. It is recommended to have two people complete the replacement, though it is not a requirement. There are no special skills required for this replacement. Replacing the hood is usually a cosmetic choice but may be needed if the hood is misshapen and will not longer function with the vehicle.

    • Notice a latch located above the car's grill after popping the hood. Lift the hood by releasing the latch. After lifting the hood, notice a movable latch just above the wiper fluid container. There is a specific hole on the left side of the hood where you can hook the latch.

  3. riLoWqJb6bhR5MvM
    • Disconnect the wind-shield fluid line on the left side of the hood.

  4. BMFCBeEgfCpOZRWe
    • Identify the four bolts which can be seen towards the extreme left (2 bolts) and extreme right (2 bolts) underneath the hood.

  5. OIfBXST6KCCSQDPP
    • Remove the four bolts using a 13mm wrench and lift the hood out of place.

    • After replacing the old hood with the new hood, reverse the process; tighten back the four bolts and connect the wind-shield fluid line.

Conclusion
