The iPad 2 is the second generation of the iPad. It was announced by Apple on March 2, 2011 and first available in the United States on March 11, 2011. The iPad 2 features both front and rear facing cameras, and comes in both while and black.
It features multi-touch interaction with print, video, photo, and audio multimedia, internet browsing, and runs most iPhone OS apps. The device has an LED-backlit 9.7-inch color LCD display and uses a virtual keyboard for text input, although one of the optional accessories offered by Apple is an iPad keyboard dock.
