Safety Precautions
Background and Identification
The Wacker Pump PG1 is a 1-inch gas-powered water pump. It is marketed for use for residential, commercial, and industrial clear water applications. It is capable of moving up to 1600 gallons of water per hour and will operate for 1.5 hours on a full tank of gas.
The PG1 water pump includes a small four-stroke engine that does not require oil in the fuel mixture. The pump includes a tool kit, strainer, hose couplings (which are adaptable to garden hoses), and hose bands. Users should ensure that the pump’s hose is laid out straight without any twists or sharp bends which may block the flow of water. To prime the pump, remove the prime plug and fill the pump case with water. The pump will not work if it is not filled with water before starting.
The PG1 pump is marketed as a compact water pump that can be easily transported. The pump also includes a large fuel port that is designed to make refueling easier with a standard gas can. Rubber isolation feet prevent the pump from moving while in use. The pump includes two feet that run parallel front-to-back at the base of the pump. The PG1 pump features a mostly yellow body with black accents and a silver-colored portion, with red and green accents depending on sub-model.
