Identification and Background
The Fountain Jet is one of many carbonation units offered by SodaStream. This model is available in black, silver and red, with approximate dimensions of 10" x 5.5" x 17". It is the most basic model sold by SodaStream, and it was released in approximately 2007. These devices do not use electricity or batteries for power. It is operated by a push button system; when the user pumps/presses the button on top of the device, CO2 comes out to carbonate the beverage. The CO2 canister is hidden in the back compartment of the device, which is easily removable. It differs from most other SodaStream machines because of its bulkier size and basic features. While it does appear to be bulky, the shape has a sleek appearance to it. It can also easily be identified by the location of the drink bottle that you want to carbonate; it is partially enclosed in the walls of the machine rather than being wholly visible. This device surrounds more of the bottle, while other models have the bottles where they appear to hang from the device.
