General Info

This electronic dictionary is Scholastic's answer for Casio's line of electronic dictionaries.

It features a small 1602 LCD display, a slim body with a haptic QWERTY keyboard, and several other buttons for its other features and navigation. One such feature is the ability to set the time, and even make a timer, so users can track the time they spend doing whatever it may be. It also has a button to switch to calculator mode, which revolves around the four basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

The actual dictionary, however, is the most sold feature of this device, holding up to 30,000 words from the physical paper children's dictionary from Scholastic. Users can also save words with the library function, which stores words you have searched using this device, and you can go back and find any word you searched using it.

On the back of the unit, there is a screw-shut hatch for the battery, a reset button (for if the device is malfunctioning), and a printed user guide on the backside of the haptic keyboard, so any users can refer to the instructions without having the paper manual.

While this product is made for kids, they are often replaced with smartphones which can often do better at these jobs than this thing.

User Guide

As mentioned before, this version of the user guide is found on the device itself, located on the backside of the slim keyboard/keypad. (There is a physical paper version of the manual, I just need to convert it to PDF)
