Background

Ryobi is a Japanese brand that has been in business for 80 years and is still popular and thriving. Compared to other lawn tool companies, they may not be the best quality but they are still favorable amongst the public on a global scale. In 1943, Yutaka Urakami was approached by the manager of Mitsubishi Electrics In Hiroshima, Japan. Yutaka was asked if they knew anything about the process of die casting, which is the process that involves using a metal casting that involves feeding molten alloys into dies under high pressure and speed to quickly create molded products.

The Ryobi Power Head RY40006 (2019) can last a full charge for up to 71 minutes of runtime, in addition to having more power than previous models. Due to this power head also being electric, it doesn't rely on gas and it is much quieter compared to tools run on gas. This Ryobi Power Head is adjustable from 13-15 inches. This allows the device to have a longer runtime and is more aggressive than previous models. This model also has a variable speed function within it, which allows better control while trimming.

Identification

This product comes in two parts: the main power head trimmer body and the handle to attach to the body. The power head trimmer is bright green and black. In addition, there should be a handle that was provided with this device during purchase. This handle should be installed on the top of the body of the trimmer. The body of the device is the long black and green pole. This handle will be placed right above the sticker that states "attachment capable." There are a series of stickers located above the handle. These are to alert the owner of the dangers and cautions to be aware of. If the owner cannot identify what a particular sticker represents, they need to use the operators manual and look it up. The manual is provided in the box the power head trimmer was purchased in.

At the bottom of the power head are located the knob and coupler. Above these two parts is located the handle of the trimmer. The rear handle is located at the top of the trimmer. Directly under the rear handle is the trigger lock-out and switch trigger.

If the user needs to refer to the model number, the number is located on the black label that is located directly on the tool on the top. The serial number can also be located on this black label and may begin with a "CS" or "OA". The model number will start with "RY."
