Background and Identification
The Razer Blade 14” (2013) is an update released in July 2013 to Razer’s line of thin gaming laptops. Compared to the previous model’s 17-inch screen and size, the 2013 revision features a smaller body with a 14-inch screen. Reviewers noted that the new 1600x900 pixel display was a downgrade from the prior model’s 1080p panel, but Razer commented that the lower resolution helped improve graphics performance in games.
The gaming machine uses an Intel Core i7 4702HQ processor along with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M graphics card. The laptop has 8 GB of memory which is—unfortunately for fixers—soldered onto the motherboard. The internal drive, however, is a standard M.2 SSD which can be replaced if it dies. The battery too is user replaceable once you open the back with a Torx T5 screwdriver.
You can identify your Razer Blade by looking on the bottom for the model number. Use this page on the Razer Support website to find the matching laptop. The Razer Blade (2013) has model number RZ09-01020 or RZ09-01021.
