Background Information
Released on November 22, 2013, under the codename "Oxygen", OpenMandriva Lx is the continuation of the Mandriva Linux project, created by the OpenMandriva Association after the original Mandriva ceased development in 2011.
The OS brings many of Mandrava's original programs and adds many different in-house enhancements while also serving as a general-purpose Linux distribution for x86 (32-bit/64-bit) and ARM-based processors.
The operating system incorporates much of the code that was used for Ark Linux's operating system after the two projects merged in 2012.
