Background and Identification
Motorola Android Wear smartwatches deliver common smartwatch features, such as activity and sleep tracking, while also providing more advanced capabilities.
The first generation of the Motorola Moto 360 was released in 2014. An updated version came out a year later in 2015. Motorola then ceased its development of wearable technology. In 2019, a company called eBuyNow resurrected the Moto 360 product line and produced a third generation of the device. While no longer manufactured by Motorola, the Moto 360 third generation offers numerous modern smartwatch features, including Google Assistant, Google Fit, and Google Pay. As of summer 2020, the Motorola Moto 360 line includes just the first and second generation models and excludes this new step-brother. Common problems with the first and second generation Moto 360s include battery failure and wrist strap breakage.
The first and second generation Moto 360 both have a circular watch face. They come in multiple colors, including black, silver, gold, and rose gold. A distinguishing feature between the original Moto 360s and the eBuyNow version is the circular button. The first and second generation Moto 360s have just one circular button on the right side of the watch face, while the third generation Moto 360 has two.
