Background
The Milwaukee Reversible Drill 11011 493G is now called 1/2 D-Handel Drill 500 RPM. This drill was explicitly designed to allow for an operator's efficiency in hard-to-reach places while maximizing the drill's life. The first portable hand drill was created by two Germans, Wilhelm & Carl Fein of Stuttgart, in 1895. Following this revelation in 1917, the first trigger, a pistol grip portable drill, was invented and then patterned by Black & Decker. These two inventions paved the way for the modern hand drill to be created and refined for many applications/uses. Today, there are thousands of drill types, all of which fall under the two categories of manual or electric hand drills.
The Milwaukee Reversible Drill 11011 493G has three significant features: a durable, glass-reinforced nylon D-handle, a side handle assist with a secure grip, and an included right-angle drive attachment. All the features allow for more control and versatility when utilizing this tool.
Milwaukee has since rebranded the Reversible Drill 11011 493G in 2013, and it is now named the 1/2 D-Handel Drill 500 RPM better to represent the capacity and application of this drill. It is available on most mainstream tool/hardware suppliers like Home Depot and Lowes, but this tool is most easily found directly on the Milwaukee website.
