Background
Herbert Tautz founded Delta Manufacturing in Milwaukee in 1919 and began a company that revolutionized the woodworking industry. Later, the Milwaukee company created the first reciprocating saw when they invented the Milwaukee Sawzall in 1951. Now reciprocating saws are made by every tool manufacturer. All models include a blade that goes back and forth to manage difficult cuts in wood and metal. In over 50 years, nothing has changed in the reciprocating saw and even the models used today are no different from the original. Only improvements to the blade attachments have been made.
The Milwaukee Reciprocating Saw 6538-21 has a gear-protecting clutch that allows users to complete high-impact jobs. It also has a quick-lok blade that gives users easy and fast access for blade changes
Product Overview:
- Variable speed trigger and dial speed control - maximum speed control
- Constant power tech which provides a steady speed for difficult jobs
- Patented gear protecting clutch - extends gear and motor life and sudden blade lock-ups
- A patented counterbalanced mechanism that provides smooth running and low vibration
