Background

The JYX-S55 is a portable speaker that has karaoke and radio features. The JYX-S55 has Bluetooth capabilities for both listening to music and for doing karaoke. Along with these features, this speaker also has LED lights which change color, while also having the ability to be turned off. The JYX-S55 speaker is a 6.5 pound speaker. It comes in the colors black and wood. The speaker also comes with two microphones for karaoke. The JYX-S55 possesses seven different disco light settings which pulse to the beat of the song playing. These light modes can be turned off at any point. Common malfunctions of the JYX-S55 speaker that have been reported include but are not limited to; microphones not working, microphone volume control not being sensitive enough, connection issues, and issues with the audio. Another model of the JYX speaker is the JYX-69BT. The audio quality and functions of the speaker are the same, the only differences are located within the aesthetics. The JYX-69BT is slightly smaller and has a handle on the top rather than on the left side.

Identification

The JYX-S55 has a rectangular, box-like body, with the microphone volume, echo, bass, and treble knobs, in addition to the power button, USB-C charging port, and radio antenna on the top panel of the speaker. On the front-facing side of the speaker, with the metal speaker grill, there is the master volume dial, numbers 0-9 to control radio stations, and a circular panel of buttons with an M in the middle, controlling the mode of the speaker (i.e. bluetooth, radio, etc). The model number is located on the back of the device opposite the side with the speaker grill, on a sticker near the bottom. To positively identify the device, you can look at the sticker to see if the model number matches.
