Background

The Handspring Visor Deluxe PDA is a handheld device released in September of 1999. It is a Personal Digital Assistant with web connection capability that stores contacts, media, and schedules. Handspring merged with Palm Inc. in 2003 and is now HP Palm. PDAs are now considered obsolete due to the creation of smartphones.

The Visor Deluxe is the predecessor to the Visor Solo and boasts more RAM, the option of translucent casing, and a stylus with a built in Phillips screwdriver. The Visor Deluxe also features a built in microphone and an infrared port for sending contact information to other Palm OS devices. Another feature that distinguishes the Visor Deluxe from other PDAs is the external memory cartridge located on the back of the PDA. This particular model also consists of four buttons that allow quick access to scheduling, messaging, notes, and a to-do list.
