Background

The Bosh Drill Driver is a multipurpose drill.  This device was first released on July 29th, 2011. The device was discontinued from distribution in late 2019 according to Amazon's price history for the product.  The purpose of the drill is for heavy-duty uses. It can be used in materials such as wood or even metal. The drill is powered by an 18-volt lithium-ion battery and includes two slim-pack 1.5 AH HC(high-capacity) batteries.

This device also includes a battery indicator that lets you know when the battery is low.  The drill driver includes a charger that charges the device to full within 20-30 minutes. There is also an optional flexible power system in which the device can be plugged in for maximum run time and a lighter drill with the battery detached.

The weight of the drill is 3.5 lbs while the length and width of the device are 7.25” by 3.5”.

This device is designed to be compact and light. The drill driver includes an ergonomic grip that increases better gripping and comfort for users. There is a 4-pole motor.

The original BOSCH Drill Driver DDS181 box comes with the drill kit with two 18-volt slim pack batteries and a fast charger. Also included is an operating instructions manual. In the 2nd iteration BOSCH Drill Driver DDS181-02 from the previously mentioned items, additionally there is one carrying case and a bunch of bits.

Identification

The Bosch Drill Driver DDS181 has the same shape as a standard drill.  The body of the drill has two mixed colors blue and black. The functional buttons that are pressable are indicated with the color red. As well there is a big lettering in the upper body of the drill detailing the manufacturer that produced the product.  The drill is a cordless drill, so it runs on a battery. The battery is to be attached at the base of the drill.

The Drill will come with two battery packs that are attachable to the base of the drill and as well will include a belt clip. The voltage of the battery is 18V.

The model number and identify of the drill can be found at the bottom of the drill once you remove the battery pack.
