Background and identification
The AvertX HD810 is AvertX’s 2nd iteration of this size of dome camera. Released in March of 2016, the AvertX HD810 is considered to be a modified version of the HD80 model. The HD810 model improves on the movement sensor as well as the field of view (FOV) of the AvertX HD80 model by increasing the sensor’s megapixels and adding a 2-axis gimbal to allow more camera movement.
The AvertX HD810 possesses the greatest FOV range of 33-109 degrees. Although the HD810 model possesses the same dimensions as the HD80, the HD810 possesses a modified, circular version of the previously square dongle. The HD810 model is far easier to differentiate from the new HD820, due in part to their strikingly different dimensions. While this model weighs in at .8lbs and measures 4.6”x3.6”, the HD820 model weighs 1.7lbs and measures at 5.8”x4.4”.
Although the AvertX HD810 is a complete redesign of its successor, there are recurring problems and necessary improvements are often needed. These problems led to the camera's discontinuation in January of 2017.
