Background

The APC Smart-UPS is a high-end uninterruptible power supply that is geared towards servers, storage, and network closets. It also provides protection against lightning strikes, power sags, brownouts, and surges. It comes with a preinstalled Network Management Card for monitoring and management, as well as a PowerChute Network Shutdown which allows for graceful shutdown of physical servers, virtual machines, and HCI clusters. Additionally, the UPS offers cloud-based remote monitoring for power, UPS firmware upgrades, diagnostics, and email notifications.

Identification

The UPS can be identified by model number SMT1500RM2UC. To find the model number, remove the front bezel and look for a sticker to the right of the display. The sticker has the model number and serial number.
